Designed from the lower bout to the headstock to meet every demand of Jazz-guitar legend, George Benson, the Ibanez GB10 hollowbody is just as stunning as it was back in 1978 when it was first released. This is also the oldest Ibanez Artist model in existence, and that (more than) forty-year-old pedigree shines through in the warm and bright Jazz-flavoured tone this instrument is able to produce - whether unplugged or amplified. The Ibanez GB10: High-End Features

The maple body of the GB10 has been topped with a thick slice of spruce and fitted with a Prestige-style three-piece maple neck that comes fully decked out with an ebony fretboard, twenty-two frets, and a deluxe set of mother-of-pearl block position markers. The selected wood combines with the snug feel of the smaller body to shape the rich and round sound of a full-sized Jazz guitar, while two GB Special mini-humbuckers capture the result with sensitive warmth and minimum feedback thanks to the floating mounting. A culmination of Mr. Benson's unrivalled skill and experience, this model is a mouth-watering treat for the ears as well as the eyes.

A Unique Hollowbody

The Ibanez GB10 also boasts a few unique technical details, including a height-adjustable, extra-hard ebony bridge that ensures optimum vibrational transfer from the strings through the body and an exclusively moulded tailpiece that features a separate tension system for treble and bass strings. A strap button has been fitted at the base of the tailpiece and a second, uninstalled button comes included to support custom placement, while further luxurious details include a height-adjustable bridge pickup, a half-bone-half-brass nut, and a set of tone and volume pots finished with rubber rings to provide accurate and controlled grip.
